Sakkare Holige
Prepartion Time: 2 hours makes 20 Holige
Ingredients
- 1 cup Milk
- 2.5 cup sugar
- 3 cup all purpose Flour
- 1 cup Rava(optional)
- 2-3 cup wheat flour dry roasted in Ghee
- 1-2 tsp Elaichi powder
Instructions:
Hoorna(Inner filling)
- Bring milk to a boil.
- When it cools down completely, add sugar
- Add dry roasted wheat flour to the mixture.
- Add the flour with loose consistency so that it hardens it after few hours.
- Add elaichi powder for flavor
Kanka (Outer coating):
- Mix Rava and all purpose flour and mix with ghee very well.
- Add water and make it to a smooth dough and add lot of oil to soak it for few hours.
Preparation:
- Place Hoorna inside kanaka like you make paratha and make holige in very low flame.
- Make holige in very low flame and handle with care so that holige doesn’t tear.
